Intelligent Imaging – the latest addition to Gelco Receipt and Audit Services – is the first receipt imaging service that attaches scanned images of travelers’ original receipts within its solution to save customers time, streamline the resolution process and support compliance.

Unlike our fax imaging service that uses receipt facsimiles submitted by travelers, Intelligent Imaging requires original receipts that are then audited and stored in compliance with local and federal regulations. While Fax Imaging is a convenient method of receipt submission for employees and supports the approval process, Intelligent Imaging is designed to support the customer’s audit and compliance process. With Intelligent Imaging, the employee’s submitted receipt image is attached to its corresponding expense report within the Gelco expense management solution as a document link. Now, program administrators need only refer employees, managers and payment approvers to the Gelco expense management solution to resolve any expense report issues – saving valuable time and effort.

To take advantage of our new Intelligent Imaging feature, Gelco customers must also be current subscribers to Gelco Receipt and Audit Services. Gelco Receipt and Audit Services automates your company’s audit functions and compliance processes to save time, resources and reduce your costs of compliance. Gelco Receipt and Audit Services:

• Matches receipts to expense reports
• Provides receipt access through a web interface and CD
• Conducts regular audits according to your criteria
• Supports local and federal tax compliance

As part of the Receipt and Audit Services solution, Intelligent Imaging also works to help deter employee fraud. “The real benefit of Intelligent Imaging is the increased visibility of submitted receipts to travelers, their managers and payment approvers,” said James Stahl, vice president of solutions management for Gelco Expense Management. “Sharing visibility to employee receipts increases the likelihood that fraud will be caught on the system.”
