Expense Summary by Category
This LearningLink will introduce the viewer to the Expense Summary by Category Report, an On Demand Report in the Gelco Reporting and Analysis Service.

Description:
This new LearningLink will review each of the report parameters and explain how the parameter selections affect the data in both the online and downloaded file views. Additionally, the LearningLink will explain each of the data columns and the types of information that can be found in those columns. You will also learn about common ways that Gelco clients use the data.

After watching this link, you will be able to request the Expense Summary by Category Report by entering the appropriate parameters for the desired date range, organization structure and organization level filter. You will also be able to drill down into the data to:

• Identify spending levels for each category
• Identify all users who entered an expense report containing that category
• Open a specific expense report from that list for further analysis
• Explain the difference between the Expensed Amount and Paid Amount columns
• Show how those amounts are affected by their account’s workflow configuration

Finally, viewers of this LearningLink will know how to download the report data, import the data into Excel and create a pivot table that will rank categories and users by various spending measurements.
