New training tools help you maximize your usage of Gelco’s solutions

Training today
Gelco Customer Service Training has developed two curriculums designed to teach client organizations the skills required to maximize their usage of Gelco’s solutions. The courses consist of a Program Administrator Curriculum designed to cover all administrative features & functions and a Reporting Curriculum which will cover the width and breadth of Gelco reporting capabilities.

Training is offered in different formats, instructor led training (ILT), interactive Web Based Training (WBT) and shorter self-running vignettes called LearningLinks. You can access the Web Based Training and LearningLinks via the Customer Support Site, as well as register for the instructor led classes.

Training is growing and changing in 2006
Gelco Customer Service Training had a record year in 2005 with well over 25,000 people trained. In addition, we have been focusing our efforts on adding new courses and enhancing existing ones.

We have added:

  • Reports 202: Period End Balancing
  • Reports 301: Using GL with Microsoft Excel
  • Reports 302: Fraud Detection with Reports (February 2006)

We retired the User Setup and Maintenance (USAM) course and replaced it with two new courses:

  • PA101: Account and User Maintenance
  • PA102: Expense Report Management to more effectively deliver the overall content of the original USAM course and reduce the consecutive amount of hours required to attend the class.

Gelco recently upgraded the Standard End User Web-based Training. The change went into effect on February 13, 2006.  Custom Web-based Training was not affected and will remain in the current format at this time.

The Standard End User Web-based Training has been upgraded with a new architecture designed to keep up with our expanding capabilities and to be scalable.  Some of the new features you will see are:

  • Easier navigation of menus and lessons
  • Content based on your account configuration
  • Bookmarks marking lessons accessed
  • Lesson descriptions and approximate times of each lesson displayed prior to entering the lesson

The new Standard End User Web-based Training is available in the Training Section of the Gelco Customer Support Site if you would like to preview it.  The Web-based Training will reflect your account configuration based on the account number you use to log in to the support site.
