Reservation Manager is easy to use because it leverages the Travel Manager and reservation tools that your travelers already know and understand. With Reservation Manager, your travel authorizations are automatically created from the reservations that you make either in your online booking tool or with your travel agent. Authorizations are created with estimated costs based in the reservations that have been placed, reducing the workload on your travelers while at the same time reducing data entry errors. When you make changes to your reservation via your online booking tool or your travel agency, Reservation Manager will automatically update the appropriate authorizations and vouchers─even if you have a last-minute change in plans.

Behind the scenes, Reservation Manager receives the travel information from your online booking tool or travel agency quickly and efficiently using XML documents and a Java ™ Messaging Service. Once your travel authorization is approved, a message is sent to your travel agency to proceed with the ticketing process. As a result, all systems operate as a single end-to-end process, sharing information and eliminating the disconnect between reservations and expense management data.
